PhilanthropyTriangle has chosen to help Ames and the surrounding communities in several ways. We serve at Reiman Gardens by volunteering for their Spirit in the Gardens Event which is put on for the youth in Ames and the surrounding area. We also participate in our national philanthropy, Habitat for Humanity. With many members in architecture and construction engineering building homes is a natural fit for our skills. Through the years we have sought out several larger construction projects and many of the foot bridges in Ames are Triangle built and maintained. We pride ourselves in our philanthropic efforts; they are a centerpiece of what it means to be a Triangle.HistoryTriangle was started in 1907 by 16 Civil Engineers attending the University of Illinois.AcademicsTriangle improves its members academic abilities by offering a house of men with similar majors who can work together on common courses.Campus InvolvementOur members are involved in many campus activities:Code of EthicsAs a Member of Triangle I recognize my obligation to: Observe the precepts of the Fraternity as set forth in the Ritual.
